Environmentally friendly development breaks ground
At 10 a.m. today, Greenbridge partners will break ground on the downtown site that will soon hold a 10-story building.
In February the Chapel Hill Town Council approved the environmentally friendly Greenbridge.
One of the buildings in the Greenbridge mixed-use development will be the tallest on Franklin Street. The $30 million project includes two levels of structured parking and 216 parking spaces.
Environmentally friendly retail slots with features including solar panels and green roofs contribute to the two condominium buildings' sustainable design.
The design will make the buildings the first in the state to achieve Gold Certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
