TO THE EDITOR:
John Herrera is a candidate for the Carrboro Board of Alderman. He is the first Latino to run for municipal office in our area. With our increasing Latino population, it is important that they have a voice which John could provide. As well, John wants to represent all members of Carrboro's diverse community. More importantly, John is a bright, articulate and gentle man with a firm commitment to fairness and open communication. He has an exceptional ability to bring people of differing opinions together. In these times, this would be a gift to local government. I urge you to support John Herrera.
