The construction of 140 West Franklin will require the close of a section of Church Street for about a year beginning March 21.
Vehicles can use South Graham or North Columbia streets as detours during the closing.
One westbound lane of Franklin Street and the sidewalk in front of the development will also be closed for the first year of the two-year project.
Pedestrians can still use the west side of Church Street and the sidewalk on the eastbound side of Franklin Street during the construction.
When completed, the building will include condominiums, retail space, a public plaza and underground parking garage.
