Letter: ?Thoughts on the abortion display

TO THE EDITOR:

The Genocide Awareness Project’s cavalier use of symbols such as the yellow star and swastika commodifies the Holocaust and its victims as evidence in a political argument. By using the Holocaust in this way, GAP disrespects the memory of those who died. It dehumanizes genocide victims by presenting them more as evidence than as people. The display is a desecration.

In other words, isn’t there something truly sinister about an organization that will subordinate any undeniable act of genocide to abortion, a practice which only the organization itself sees as genocide? At least, according to the way I understand genocide, anyone in the United States who is not in GAP and who regards abortion as genocide is, on their own terms, a murderer by cooperation.
