Police log for August 28, 2014

• Someone reported a suspicious package under a tree at the 100 block of East Main Street at12:03 p.m. Tuesday, according to Carrboro police reports. 

After the explosive detection K9 scanned the package, officers discovered the package was  brick and threw it in the trash, reports state. 

• Someone failed to yield right of way at the 100 block of Farm House Drive at Old N.C. 86 at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday according to Carrboro police reports. 

The driver was issued a citation, reports state. 

• Someone trespassed behind a building at the 100 block of Lloyd Street  at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to Carrboro police reports. 

The person left the area without incident, reports state.

• Someone committed larceny at 110 Henderson St. between 11:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

A driver's license, notebook, backpack,  laptop, charger and debit card were taken, reports state. 

• Someone committed larceny at 120 Estes Drive between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

A wallet, a pair of jeans, two sets of keys, a watch, 5 debit or credit cards, $25.00 worth of cash and a license were taken, reports state. 

• Someone shoplifted at a pharmacy at 137 E Franklin St. at 2:31 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. 

The person took two bottles of CVS brand Tussin Liquid gels, each valued at $5.99, reports state. 

• Someone committed fraud at a retail establishment at 630 Weaver Dairy Road at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
