The medical examiner could not determine a cause of death for nursing student Olu Fatolu, according to the autopsy obtained by The Daily Tar Heel.
The medical examiner found no natural diseases, toxins or trauma that may have contributed to Fatolu's death. The report states that an irregular heartbeat is the cause of death in many cases where there is no traumatic injury or toxic cause.
On Oct. 30, 2014, Fatolu, 41, was found unconscious in her car at 9:21 p.m. in the Friday Center Park and Ride lot off of N.C. 54. The autopsy took place Oct. 31 at the N.C. Office of the Medical Examiner.
Fatolu was married with two children. She began taking classes in the School of Nursing in the summer of 2014 after she worked as a nurse's aide.
