Police log for Sept. 9, 2015

• Someone entered a residence and committed larceny on the 300 block of McMasters Street between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole items including a laptop, a wallet, two Bluetooth speakers, headphones and an iPad Mini. The person also took a Nissan Altima worth $15,000, reports state.

• Someone committed larceny at a hotel at 5623 Fordham Blvd. between 10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person was allowed into the room and stole items such a cellphone and a wallet, among other items, valued together at $2,223, reports state.

• Someone damaged property on the 100 block of Creel Street at 11:46 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person threw a brick through a window, causing $50 worth of damage, reports state.

• Someone committed larceny at Orange Co. Waste Management at 601 Rock Creek Road between 7:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole a recycling bin, valued at $250, reports state.

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 200 block of Crest Drive between 3 a.m. and 10 a.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole a laptop, valued at $1,200, reports state.

• Someone broke into and entered a vehicle on the 200 block of East Rosemary Street at 6:50 p.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person pried open the rear window, causing $300 worth of damage. The person then searched through the car’s interior, reports state.

• Someone committed fraud at the Music Loft at 116 W. Main St. at 12:33 p.m. Friday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person obtained stereo equipment, worth $1,440.46 in total, by using a credit card that did not clear, reports state.

• Someone committed larceny at the Food Lion at 104 N.C. 54 at 3:02 p.m. Sunday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person, a male, stole a pre-made turkey sandwich, valued at $4.29, by putting it in the front pocket of his sweatshirt and leaving, reports state.
