Police log for April 20, 2016

• Someone committed larceny at a grocery store at 81 S. Elliott Road between 2:15 p.m. and 3:57 p.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole someone’s purse, with $90 worth of items inside including a wallet, and used the credit cards, reports state.

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 400 block of Walnut Street at 4:21 p.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person broke the door jamb, causing $200 worth of damage, and stole $7,050 worth of items, reports state.

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 100 block of Windsor Place at 4:41 p.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person forced open the back door and stole $1,305 worth of items, reports state.

• Someone damaged property on the 300 block of South Estes Drive at 10:36 p.m. Friday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person damaged a table, causing $100 worth of damage, and a lamp, causing $30 worth of damage, reports state.

• Someone was in possession of drug paraphernalia at 503 W. Franklin St. at 12:18 a.m. Saturday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person was found with a crack pipe, reports state.

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 100 block of Ascot Place between 5 a.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person broke the glass in the kitchen door, causing $100 worth of damage, reports state.

• Someone committed larceny from Insomnia Cookies at 145 E. Franklin St. at 1:24 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole $170 in cash from someone, reports state.

• Someone was cited for alcohol violations at Key Food Mart at 325 W. Rosemary St. at 8:11 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
