All Up In Your Business: Train For Life to open soon

A new training facility will feature fitness classes, kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

A new training facility will feature fitness classes, kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

A new training facility hopes to open in Chapel Hill in the next few weeks.

Train for Life will offer a full service gym, a personal training department, kickboxing classes and eventually, Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

"It's combat sport classes taught by real fighters, so that’s kind of cool," said Joshua Macri, the gym manager.

The new training facility will be located in Rams Plaza on Fordham Boulevard right next to Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. The managing group of the training facility also manages Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and is planning on joining the two once the new training facility is up and running.

Macri said Train for Life will be the first gym in Chapel Hill with over 31 punching bags for kickboxing.

Due to construction, Train for Life will be opening later than anticipated, but should be open for action in about three weeks.

To celebrate its opening, Train for Life is offering the first 150 visitors free enrollment for being the first members of the gym, Macri said.
