DTH Down Under: Brisbane bops, Sydney songs

Burleigh Heads National Park in Queensland.

Burleigh Heads National Park in Queensland.

Last semester, columnist Kiana Cole introduced you to a collection of British songs she ingeniously called a UKaylist. While Australia may not have produced the Beetles or Ed Sheeran, this country is still full of fire music.

This playlist will take you through an entire range of Aussie hits, from classic artists like AC/DC and the Bee Gees to indigenous musicians like Mark Atkins and Jimmy Little. I also threw in the “Crocodile Dundee” theme, because everyone loves “Crocodile Dundee.”

Give it a listen, use it when you work out, play it in the car when someone hands you the aux cord. Nothing brightens the mood quite like didgeridoo.
