Police log for April 17, 2017

• Someone reported damage to property on the 500 block of Weaver Dairy Road at 9:04 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

A rock flew out from under a lawn mower and damaged a vehicle, reports state.

• Someone reported larceny on the 70 block of Hayes Road at 10:09 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole a credit card from a vehicle and made purchases with it, reports state.

• Someone broke into and entered a residence on the 300 block of Hillsborough Street at 10:48 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person entered the home and stole jewelry, a jewelry box and a drill, valued at $731 in total, reports state.

• Someone reported a suspicious condition on the 1500 block of East Franklin Street at 7:39 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

A dog was making weird noises, reports state.
