Letter: Appreciate UNC's blooming campus
TO THE EDITOR:
I have the good fortune of working near the winding path through the new Sam W. Hitt Medicinal Plant Gardens, located between the Koury building and the Health Sciences Library. I love seeing colleagues taking time to appreciate the plants that are flowering. Walk north on Columbia, and the beautiful clumps of irises, lilies, Lenten rose and ferns are arranged just so, so they’re subtle, appropriate, flatter the buildings and signage nearby and make UNC shine.
Join me in thanking Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Services Anna Wu, Executive Director of Facilities Operations Darius Dixon, Grounds Supervisor Mark Moon and our wonderful grounds crew for making UNC beautiful, green and alive.
