Police Reports: July 5-10

  • An animal attack was reported on Friday at 3:25 p.m. on the 100 block of Windsor Circle, according to Chapel Hill Police reports.

The report states that a dog attacked a cat. 


  • Larceny was reported on Saturday at 4:49 p.m. on the 100 block of West Franklin Street, according to Chapel Hill Police reports.

Reports state the suspect stole headphones valued at $30 from Target and tried to later return them for a gift card. 


  • Breaking and entering was reported on Sunday at 11:29 a.m. on the 100 block of Finley Forest Drive, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

Reports state the suspect was evicted from the apartment, broke back in and changed the locks. 


  • Speeding was reported on Sunday at 9:19 p.m. at the intersection of West Cameron Avenue and Columbia Street, according to Chapel Hill Police reports. 

The suspect was participating in a speed contest while in possession of marijuana paraphernalia, reports state.
