A new (Crepe) Tradition on Franklin Street

"Oh my GAWD, I'm not eating pizza or mac n' cheese AGAIN" — me, literally every night. Not to say that I don't like pizza or mac-n-cheese (like every other college student), but sometimes ya need to mix it up a little bit!

That's where Crêpe Traditions comes in.

Unlike most places on Franklin, Crêpe Traditions doesn't serve Asian foodMexican food or fries and burgers

Located near Old Chicago Pizza, CT opened on Sept. 22 and has served up delicious and innovative crepes (as well as an assortment of gourmet coffee and smoothies), ever since.

The portion sizes are decent — best for a light lunch or dinner — and as an added bonus for those ballin' on a budget, all of the menu items are under $10.

So what to order? My personal fav is the PBJ&C, a savory crepe filled with chicken, blueberry sauce, thai peanut sauce, coleslaw, mozzarella and house chipotle aioli, all cozily wrapped up in a thin pancake blanket.

Sounds weird, I know, but it reminds me of a mix between my PB&J-filled childhood and my current Thai food obsession, which is straight-up awesome.

If you're in the mood for something sweet, the S'mores and ice cream crepe filled with chocolate chips, marshmallow, graham crackers, chocolate syrup and ice cream is to die for.

Open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day except Sunday, CT also offers delivery, take-out, a quiet atmosphere and Wi-Fi.

Overall, Crêpe Traditions fills the crepe-shaped hole in my heart and in the Franklin food scene.
