Review: BSki's — the wrap redefined

Chicken fingers are a staple of the American lifestyle.

Huge fast food establishments build entire businesses from selling chicken, and we eat them whether they're in nuggets shaped like dinosaurs or served to us on a platter by an old man who calls them finger lickin' good.

So now that society is at this point there's very few ways to mix up the fried chicken archetype. However, Bskis seems to have done that.

Bskis' menu is full of different styles of food taken and put into wrap form. You can get chicken nuggets with bacon, ham, pineapple and honey mustard wrapped into an Aloha Ski or potatoes bacon, cheddar and sour cream wrapped into the Bac'd Ski.

In fact, their menu extends beyond chicken tender wraps into breakfast wraps with eggs and "Health skis" with vegetables.

On my trip, I got the A.K. Ski, which is basically a buffalo chicken wrap. It's not too much different from a set of boneless buffalo wings, but it was still quite enjoyable.

The part that really seals the deal for me is the fries. Their salty seasoning made the meal for me, and the fries are definitely the best thing that BSki's offers.

Too bad all of this comes with a hefty price tag.  My wrap and fries without a drink cost me $9.68.  Even though the food is good, there are a ton of better and cheaper options around that I would recommend over this.

The high price probably feeds into BSki's free delivery option, which is a nice touch if you're hungry and far away. However, in my friends' experiences their wait times have been as high as an hour and thirty minutes for their food on a regular night, so even delivery is a bad deal.

So, as good as their food is, the high cost makes it hard to recommend BSki's over other options, and even though their delivery option is cost-effective you'll be paying with your time. It might be best to just eat somewhere else next time you're out.
