I dedicate this newsletter to my digital cats

I am allergic to dust, trees, wool, nylon, probably grass and every kind of animal you could love.

That includes cats.

I've resorted to channeling all my urges for companionship into caring for tiny animated cats in the app Neko Atsume.

If you haven't played, it's a game where you leave out toys and wait for the cats to visit you and use them. You can't play with them. You can only take pictures.

I hecking love it, but I've beaten the game almost entirely. I've taken pictures of all the cats and they've given me lots of presents. What am I supposed to do now, homework? Gross.

UNC senior Nina Augustine is a normal person with a real cat. The cat, Reiki, was rescued from a Walmart parking lot and has survived cancer. Reiki has a very cute story

I don't, so if you have any recommendations for other apps I can download to fabricate the warmth of nurturing a living creature, let me know!

QUICK HITS

  • Our voter guide is in the paper today! Might I also recommend this interactive graphic we made, as well? My eyes melted out of my head while I was making it. One click = one prayer.
  • Ted Cruz, who is (contrary to popular belief) neither the Zodiac Killer nor Grayson Allen's dad, criticized Donald Trump at a rally in Raleigh Tuesday.
  • The March 15 primary will ask residents to vote for the Connect N.C. Bond. I can't tell you if it's better than the James Bond song that Sam Smith won an Oscar for because I'm not allowed to have political opinions, but I can tell you that there is nothing worse than that song.
  • A UNC student is writing a book called "Climb-A-Sutra." I'm not going to tell you what it is because there are probably moms reading this.

IN UNIVERSITY NEWS

Changing a student's grade is no longer a horrific paper trail thanks to reforms the University said it made following the academic-athletic scandal. Now, only an instructor can request a grade change. No more sneakily adding a line in red marker down the right side of your "F" to form an "A." I'm not sure if that was something in the Wainstein report or an episode of "Fairly Oddparents."

IN SPORT NEWS

We didn't have to wait for basketball season to be over to bring you football news. There's not a single quarterback eligible to play next season who has completed a pass besides Mitch Trubisky, but he is still competing for the job. He's the "Sharpay and Ryan at the beginning of 'High School Musical'" of the football team. I hope for his sake Zac Efron stays on the basketball court.

IN OUR OPINION

Our endorsements for Orange County Commissioner are live! You can call us a liberal rag all you want, but there were only Democrats running for this primary.

IN THE BLOGS

Just in case you're all caught up on podcasts, we made a list of playlists you can listen to on your Spring Break road trip to Ohio to see your boyfriend's family. That's probably a scenario that's unique to me, but these playlists are fair game even for your cruise in the Bahamas or your staycation.
