DTH at a Glance: Chipotle brand ambassador

Good morning, and welcome to a world in which I actually got a ticket to the Duke game!! If you're also Phase Three, hit me up.

Today I was initially going to talk about the dark period in my life in which I was a vegetarian for over a year. But then I remembered I wrote about that last year. So instead, I'm writing about the dark period of my life in which I pretended not to hate Twenty One Pilots (who performed in Greensboro last weekend) for the entirety of a nine-month relationship. Because relationships are all about compromise and I have a crippling disdain for conflict, or something like that.

Moment of celebratory reflection that both of those dark ages are over.

QUICK HITS

  • We sat down with Nicholas Law, a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, to nerd out about the seven Earth-sized planets NASA recently introduced to the world.
  • The General Assembly filed House Bill 186 on Wednesday as an attempted compromise for the HB2 debate — but lots of people are calling the bill BS.
  • In the least evangelist-vegetarian way possible, Georgia Brunner makes the argument that UNC should consider no longer serving meat in its dining halls.

IN DAILY CRIME

Someone on North Street reported accidentally locking their keys in their car with their dog inside. Another person reported road rage on 15-501 Southbound — because that's evidently a thing you can do.

IN MORE DRAMA

Two complaints have been filed against the only remaining student body presidential candidates, Elizabeth Adkins and Maurice Grier. Because at this point, it's insulting if you're in the SBP race and don't have charges against you from other campaigns.

IN DISAPPOINTMENTS

We asked random students the easiest question they will ever be asked at UNC: Chipotle or Moe's? Four out of six respondents got it wrong because the country's public education system is failing our young people.

IN SPORTS

UNC's baseball and softball teams really stuck the landing this weekend. The gymnastics team also really hit it out of the park against William & Mary.
