DTH at a Glance: When I knew I hated Duke...

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

For those who choose to participate in the fierce rivalry with the school down the road, I believe we all have that moment when we realized we really hated Dook.

Mine was at the UNC-Duke football game at Duke's campus. I know. Mistake number one was stepping foot over there. My friend and I somehow weaseled our way into the front row of the student section, and that's where it happened.

Three senior, fully indoctrinated Duke kids were sitting behind us. At one point, the song "Every Time We Touch" came over the loud speaker. 

My friend and I thought it was just a throwback when we heard the guys behind us say, "Y'all aren't even ready. This is about to get so hype. It's crazy." The entire football stadium proceeded to perform the least-hype series of moves to this song that basically just consisted of jumping up and down.

I know what you're saying: our hype song is also just jumping. But at least it's in the name and frankly, a better song. But it's all a difference of opinion, and that's why we have a string of columns for your reading and debating pleasure.

• Letters to the Editor: Instead of reading what we wrote, you can read what you guys wrote.  This letter criticizes Larry Fedora's most recent ramblings about America and CTE. 
• Even tigers need their teeth cleaned. We got some awesome photos of these big cats getting groomed at the Carolina Tiger Rescue.

• July 23- Food Truck Flicks- Enjoy some sweet treats and sweet flicks with this weekly event. Mama Voula's and Local Yogurt brought the food, so you just bring yourself ( Levin JCC)
• July 23- Duke: A Perspective- Usually I would not advertise events over at ~that school~, but good pictures are good pictures. Go see Duke in a new light. (Duke University)
