James Pyle secures starting job in goal

After sharing everything with his twin brother for almost his entire life — including playing time in youth soccer — North Carolina men's soccer goalkeeper James Pyle finally has a goal to himself.

Women's soccer off to hot start

After scoring only 31 goals during the entire 2014 campaign, the North Carolina women's soccer team has opened the 2015 season by outscoring opponents 17-0.

Field hockey beats two top-20 teams

The No. 2 North Carolina field hockey team opened its 2015 season this past weekend in Ann Arbor, Mich., by defeating No. 14 Michigan and No. 17 Iowa.

Volleyball digs itself into early hole

Entering the season with lofty expectations, the No. 7 North Carolina volleyball team struggled in its matches against No. 22 Southern California and No. 11 Brigham Young.
