Ryan's Rhythms: Walking Home in the Rain

It's already raining forever in the worst part of school.

I've already listed the most headbanging hype songs — but that's not always what we need.

These are the songs we listen to when we’re fighting with our best friend or significant other, when we’re pretending to be the main character of a movie or music video while gazing out the window of a moving car at 9 p.m., or when it’s we’re walking home alone in the rain. You can play them while you’re aimlessly roaming the empty streets of Chapel Hill this week or when you’re keeled over in that shower you visit twice a week. Enjoy this dramatic, pensive playlist, and may it guide you through the rough weeks ahead.

  1. "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls
  2. "Yellow" by Coldplay
  3. "All I Want" by Kodaline
  4. "Sleep" by Azure Ray
  5. "Holocene" by Bon Iver
  6. "Budapest" by George Ezra
  7. "Ribs" by Lorde
  8. "Same Mistakes" by The Echo Friendly
  9. "Clean" by Taylor Swift (Editor's Note: Taylor Swift is not on Spotify, so please enjoy Ryan Adams' cover)
  10. "Springsteen" by Eric Church
