I saw something beyond awesome today: two kids playing in the mud. While this tale may come across as the saga of two weirdoes, one must remember that this is college. This is the land of midnight burger runs and sold-out a cappella concerts. This is where the mundane becomes the incredible.
Thus, I was coming across Polk Place when a slight crowd piques my interest. I stopped to see what the fuss is about. That is when I saw it. An Ugg boot-outfitted Darth Vader was dueling with Jabba the Hutt, who was armed with a broom. It was truly a moment of college WTFery. In high school, the kids that played in the mud smelled strongly of dog and earned the contempt of many. In college, those kids wear awesome costumes and earn the applause of crowds upon impaling each other with fake lightsabers.
This was definitely a WTF/FTW moment, and it cemented my undying love of the college experience.
