How to quit coffee

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of paying ridiculous amounts of money each day for coffee.

Dropping $5 at Starbucks on the reg is NOT something that's friendly to my ~extremely poor~ college student budget!

In rebellion against the (coffee) man, I decided to cut coffee out of my life, cold turkey.

Don't do this. DON'T DO THIS. DON'T DO THIS.

It really really sucks. Some symptoms of caffeine withdrawal include anxiety, headaches, irritability and inability to concentrate.  You basically turn into a huge grouch monster for up to 11 days, which is no bueno for a student trying to be socially and academically capable.

Here's my advice: let yourself down easy. Start with decreasing your intake by one cup a day, then switch to half caf, then to tea with a high caffeine content, then to herbal tea. Don't just replace coffee with soda, that's definitely not a good thing, trust me.

Also recommended: naps. Short, productive ones. Voila! You're freeeeee from caffeine addiction.
