Introducing Google Glasses: eye-wear of the future

Wearable computing hasn’t been cool since calculator watches. But after Google revealed it’s long-rumored software-enhanced glasses, codenamed Project Glass, that could soon change. With the glasses, you can look at and send emails, get directions in real time, check into locations on Google Plus and take pictures.

When Windows 8 comes out later this year, it will have a fresh, modern style based heavily on the Windows Phone 7 user interface. I covered the changes in my first post But what we didn’t expect was that Microsoft would also update the Windows logo, which it hasn’t done since the Vista era.


Apple expands education offerings on iPad and iPhone

I am not a fan of textbooks. They’re dull and boring. They’re heavy. They just don’t make learning fun. I would rather turn to the Internet to find video or images that would help me understand the material. That may just change, as Apple announced a deal with several publishers Thursday that will bring special digitized versions of textbooks to the iPad.
