Review: Omelette you finish, but Rams Dining Hall has the best food in Chapel Hill

At Rams Dining Hall, swipes are more than swipes. They are gateways to a culinary experience like no other.

Operated by the ever illustrious Carolina Dining Services, Rams is one of two dining halls on campus. Lenoir offers convenience during the day and slightly better customer service, but the food often leaves much to be desired. Rams is clearly the one that students want ooh ooh ooh honey.

Some say it's the on-point sandwiches courtesy of Rams legend Mario. Others say it's the pizza served by a certain Pizza Angel on certain nights. But I say the true gem of Rams Dining Hall is Say.

Say doesn't just make omelettes. She makes masterpieces. Her omelettes are true works of art, from liquid conception to strong and firm completion.

The final product is not the only thing special about Say's omelettes. The process itself is hypnotizing. From the quick flick of the wrist she makes spraying Pam on the sizzling grill to the symmetrical yet free flowing way she folds the flat egg into a rolled finished product, Say is art personified.

To get a taste of the magic happening at Rams Dining Hall, head over to the dining hall daily during breakfast or brunch. Swipes not necessarily required. Make friends with people with meal plans, or don't be afraid to beg. Do you want to have the culinary experience of a lifetime or not? Prioritize. Good food over dignity every time.
