About 32,000 people hit Franklin Street for Halloween Friday night. The Daily Tar Heel spoke to some of the costumed crowd.

What is your costume?
It’s a pyramid head from Silent Hill. It’s a video game series.
How did you decide on your costume?
It’s just a fun costume to make, and I’m a big fan of movies and games.

The great costumes.
Have you ever been on Franklin St. on Halloween before? What do you think of it?
Yeah. I was here two years before.

What is your costume?
His name is Oogie Boogie. He is the villain from the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Why did you choose the costume?
I saw that online that someone set a same dress that has done that before. But it was like $500 to buy, so I made it.
Did you come last year?
I moved here on Halloween last year so I couldn't come.
What do you think of this year's Halloween?
There are a lot of great costumes. It is very safe. A lot of police.
What are the reactions of people to your costume?
They often think that I am Scarecrow from the Batman. But a lot of people like it.
