Daily Tar Heel staff writer Maggie Monsrud sat down with Nick Jaeger, a graphic designer who was walking his dog, Calvin, for Town Talk’s weekly Humans of Chapel Hill feature.

Do you believe in regrets?

Definitely. I think everyone has regret. There are things I regret. I think it’s something everyone faces. It’s pretty undeniable. To live completely regret free, I don’t know if that’s even possible.

If you could go back in time and change one thing about your past, what would it be?

I would have gotten a dog sooner. I was nervous about getting a dog for a long time because of the responsibility and all of that. I got Calvin two years ago and it’s been awesome. It’s been great having a dog.

What are you the most proud of?

The work that I do. I moved to Durham a couple of years ago, bought a house and I make music and try to make art. I work as a graphic designer at the Episcopal Church down the road and I play music. I live in Durham and commute to Chapel Hill every day.
