Cody Stiles, a sophomore pitcher on the North Carolina baseball team, was arrested Saturday for underage drinking, resisting arrest and being drunk and disruptive.

The arrest occurred early Saturday morning at 150 E. Franklin Street after Stiles attempted to punch another person, according to the police report.

A UNC baseball spokesman said Wednesday that Stiles is no longer on the team.

Last season Stiles started in eight games and posted a 2.43 ERA and 4-0 record.
