Tuesday night in Winston-Salem, No. 5 North Carolina will take on Wake Forest in its third conference match-up in six days.
The ACC showdown will give UNC another opportunity to prove it can be successful on the road.
UNC has lost three of its seven road games so far this season, and despite beating Virginia Tech on Jan. 19 in their last road contest, the Tar Heels struggled in the opening half and trailed at the break.
But it might be easier for UNC to jump out to a fast start Tuesday.
Wake Forest allows an average of 70 points per game, good for the worst scoring defense in the ACC. North Carolina, which scores an ACC-high 84.9 points per game, should be able to quickly showcase its offensive prowess.
Wake Forest will rely heavily on sophomore guard Travis McKie and junior forward C.J. Harris on Tuesday. Harris averages 17.3 points per game, ranking him third in the conference. Harris shoots a team-high 50 percent from the field and is almost as successful from long range.
