I saw Julia in the bookstore and her outfit was too perfect to pass up taking a picture of. The silhouette is very similar to what many people tend to wear around campus but instead of big sweatshirts and workout leggings, she is wearing an oversized sweater she said she got at a department store and textured leggings from Forever21. The chunky gold necklace, from Madewell, and taupe boots from Aldo pull the outfit together to make it look nicer than just leggings and a sweater but still comfortable. My favorite part of interviewing Julia though was that she said her socks were her friend’s brother’s socks because it made me realize how effortless the outfit was.

Julia said she reads Vogue every month and visits the popular fashion website Fashionologie frequently, both of which offer great style tips and inspiration. Advice wise, Julia said to “dress for the weather and the season.” It isn’t one of the coldest winters but that is no excuse to be wearing shorts and sandals in the middle of January.
