UNC’s Department of Housing and Residential Education Web site is preparing for a facelift.
The department is currently soliciting resident feedback on the three potential designs.
Residents can choose from the three proposals in a poll that ends at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Housing officials said they hope the new site will be easier to navigate, display a more modern appearance and more accurately represent the department’s goals.
The new site will display an RSS feed and allow visitors to follow housing updates through Facebook and Twitter to more effectively communicate information.
The site will also feature student testimonials, a photo gallery, community spotlights, video clips and blog posts in an effort to make the department more approachable.
Personally, I really liked the first design the best. I didn’t see a significant difference between the second and third design options.

On-campus residents should contact their community governor for information on how to vote.
