The finished product.

We can all gives thanks to StumbleUpon, our favorite thing to do when bored, for this week’s recipe. While stumbling last week, this recipe for peanut butter pretzel bites came up, and it looked delicious.

It is the perfect thing to make in college dorms because you don’t need an oven or stove. There is basically no way that even the worst “college cooks” can mess this up.

To make peanut butter pretzel bites you will need:

1 cup creamy peanut butter
3 tablespoons softened butter
3 tablespoons softened cream cheese (if you can’t find any it’s fine)
1/2 cup powdered sugar (maybe a little more)
3/4 cup brown sugar (maybe a little more)
small pretzels
chocolate chips (semi-sweet or white chocolate)

You will also need a microwave safe bowl, fork, medium sized bowl, tray or plate, measuring cups, fridge, and microwave.

Combine the softened butter, cream cheese, and peanut butter in a medium sized bowl. Use a fork to mix it all together. Add the brown sugar and powdered sugar and mix until it is all combined.

Use a teaspoon to scoop out the filling. Use your hands to roll the mix into a small ball. Sandwich the peanut butter ball between 2 pretzels and press down gently.

When you finish making all of the pretzel bites, put them into the freezer (or fridge if you don’t have a freezer) for about half an hour.

Melt the chocolate chips in a microwaveable bowl for 30 second intervals, stirring occasionally until it is melted. Dip half of the pretzel into the chocolate and put back on the tray to cool. When all the pretzels have been dipped, put the tray back into the freezer/fridge.

This recipe makes a lot of bites, so share with your friends or walk around your hall and use them to make some new ones!
