Rates

All classified rates are per day and are based on consecutive-day runs.

All others pay one-day rate.

Not-for-profit rates are for non-profit organizations and UNC departments.

Commercial rates apply for all for-profit enterprises.

Not-for-Profit Rates:
1 day … $8.95/inch
2 plus consecutive days … $7.65/inch

Commercial Rates:
1 day … $14.85/inch
2 plus consecutive days … $10.45/inch

Officially Recognized UNC Student Organizations
$6.75/inch per day, all runs

Ad Sizes

Display classified ads can be any combination up to 6 column inches.

Mechanicals:
1 column = (1.556”)
2 column = (3.229”)
3 column = (4.906”)

Logos, artwork, reverses, photographs and a large selection of typefaces are available.

  20 plus days……..$7.50/day = $150 (20 days minimum)
  1 semester…..$5.25/day = $388.50 maximum
  1 year…………..$4.55/day = $664.30 maximum (includes all summer issues for free)

Up to 25 words 5 consecutive days. Extra words 25¢ per word per day.

Classified Policies

1. All classified advertising must be prepaid unless the advertiser has a credit agreement with The Daily Tar Heel.
2. Name, address and phone number are required of all advertisers.
3. In Personal ads, full names of individuals may not be used. Please use initials or first names only. Obscenities cannot be published.
4. Ads that require an upfront monetary investment will be placed under Business Opportunities.
5. All for-profit endeavors, including those of students, qualify for commercial rates.
