Led by a brand-new coaching staff and faced with the task of learning an entirely different style of offense, the North Carolina football team has been forced to undergo a lot of changes in the offseason.

Head football coach Larry Fedora is going Greek. In an effort to increase enthusiasm for the football program, Fedora has been spending time with a number of student groups — most recently via dinners at different houses in the Greek community.

UNC to show new offense in Spring Game

During Wednesday’s practice, the North Carolina football team ran 170 plays. Last year, the Tar Heels ran around 60 or 65 plays a day. The difference in tempo at practice has been extreme, but it takes a high number of repetitions to learn a new playbook. And coach Larry Fedora didn’t just bring a new no-huddle, spread offense to UNC, he brought a whole new mindset.

UNC football travels to Charlotte for scrimmage

After practicing within the closed confines of Navy Field since March 14, the North Carolina football team is ready to take its new up-tempo, aggressive style public on Thursday night.
