Joal Hall Broun is a member of Carrboro’s Board of Aldermen. She was elected in 1999, and her current term expires in 2011. For five years starting in 1994, Broun served on the Orange Water and Sewer Authority board of directors. She attended Wake Forest University for both her undergraduate and law degrees before becoming an attorney for the N.C. Department of the Secretary of State.
