Billed as the “only name you’ll ever need,” all students, faculty and staff are assigned an Onyen that is used for all campus logins. Onyens determine an individual’s UNC e-mail address (onyen@email.unc.edu). Only one Onyen is issued per person, but aliases can be set up. Passwords must be changed every 90 days.
