UNC track and field has strong individual performances, mixed results at Notre Dame Invitational

The North Carolina track and field teams headed to South Bend on Saturday to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational. The women placed second out of seven schools with 86 points and the men placed fifth out of six schools with 71 points. Heptathlete Will Eskew and high jumpers Nicole Green and Draven Crist also had strong performances at the Clemson Invitational over the weekend.

Zion Williamson picks Duke over UNC, others

Zion Williamson will not be taking his talents to North Carolina. But, he'll play nearby. On Saturday night, the highly touted senior power forward announced his decision to commit to the Duke Blue Devils. Williamson chose Duke over some prestigious programs including UNC, Kansas and Kentucky. South Carolina and Clemson were also in the running.

UNC swimming and diving teams swept at Virginia

The North Carolina swimming and diving teams traveled to Charlottesville, Va.,to take on Virginia on Saturday. Both the men’s and women’s teams were defeated by the Cavaliers. The No. 21 UNC women were dominated by No. 8 Virginia, losing, 196-104. The UNC men lost to No. 23 Virginia, 192.5-101.5.
