Rutgers leads 10-7 at halftime

If you’re just now tuning in to the Rutgers-North Carolina football game, you haven’t missed much. UNC has already fumbled it, botched a punt and failed to move the sticks multiple times. But, after surviving the first quarter to be down 10-0, UNC found some offense.

T.J. Yates has continued to move the ball efficiently and Johnny White has run the ball well. But, with less than a minute left in the first half, Jheranie Boyd fumbled, forfeiting the Tar Heels’ shots at timing down Rutgers’ 10-7 halftime lead.

With the series split at 12 games a piece and No. 4 North Carolina (4-0) seeking its first win in Annapolis, Md. since 2001, it seemed almost like the Tar Heels were due to turn the tide.

The Tar Heels, who started 3-0 for the third straight year, were in search of their fourth win in a row.

They were successful, winning 11-4.

North Carolina to make William & Mary its Homecoming game

According to Tar Heel Monthly's Twitter feed, North Carolina announced that its Homecoming game will be played against William & Mary on Oct. 30.

Drew II transfers to UCLA

Larry Drew II has enrolled at the University of California at Los Angeles and will finish his collegiate basketball career as a Bruin. Drew started class at UCLA on Monday, the first day of the university’s spring quarter. “We are very excited about the addition of Larry Drew II to our program,” UCLA coach Ben Howland said in a teleconference.
