2:20 p.m., FRIDAY, NOV. 21 --- There are new developments in the ongoing battle between UNC and N.C. State fans.

Apparently, N.C. State fans snuck onto UNC campus last night/early this morning and painted the cubes next to the Pit. Unfortunately for them, someone tipped off Carolina Fever about their visit. Carolina Fever told them that they couldn’t paint the cubes because they weren’t UNC students. The Wolfpack fans weren’t even able to finish painting. After mixing some dark blue and white paint, Fever painted the cubes Carolina blue.

The Student Union will give free supplies to student groups whose cube advertisements were covered up. Any cubes that are still not repainted by Tuesday morning will be up for grabs.

Carolina Fever painted N.C. State’s free expression tunnel Wednesday morning. This is the second time this week that State fans have retaliated. Red graffiti, presumably spray-painted by State fans, was found Thursday morning near Rams Head Dining Hall.

Student Congress and Late Night Carolina gave Carolina Fever about $2,500 to protect the Old Well tonight from being desecrated by State fans like it was last spring before a UNC-State basketball game. It’s suppose to be an all-night party of sorts. The athletic department is paying for the pizza. The Daily Tar Heel will have video later this weekend. In the meantime, check out this video of student reactions. Below is some other content from the week.
