Junior ace pitcher Kent Emanuel was the last man on the mound in the top-seeded North Carolina baseball team’s 5-4 victory against South Carolina Tuesday — the one that sent the team to the College World Series.

Tar Heel baseball in Omaha

North Carolina lost to N.C. State in its first game of the College World Series on Sunday. The team practiced at Creighton’s baseball field on Monday and signed autographs for fans. The Tar Heels will take on Louisiana State Tuesday at 3 p.m.
