Carrboro Police Department

The Carrboro Police Department protects citizens, businesses and properties with committed law enforcement to foster a safe living environment. There are 42 employees, including 39 full-time law enforcement officers. It is equipped to respond to emergency and non-emergency situations all day every day of the year.

There are uniform patrol officers, investigators, community service officers, school resource officers and program support staff. The police chief is Walter Horton.
