It’s been a season full of broken records for the North Carolina men’s lacrosse team, so it was only fitting that on Senior Day, one of the program’s paramount players took down what is quite possibly the biggest record of them all in front of a record-breaking crowd.

Defending champion Duke falls to North Carolina men's lacrosse

Kieran Burke sat and waited. The clock ticked down. The No. 4 North Carolina men’s lacrosse team clung to a one-point lead against No. 6 Duke. As the defense parted momentarily, Duke attackman Myles Jones reared back and rocketed the potential game-tying shot through the gap toward the net the junior goalkeeper stood guarding.

Terrapins outlast UNC men's lacrosse in slow match

Before Saturday’s match between No. 2 North Carolina and No. 5 Maryland men's lacrosse teams, the only similarity between the two was their top-five rankings. Each played polar opposite styles — fast-paced for UNC and methodical for Maryland.

Men’s lacrosse beats Harvard, continues to hit stride

Senior attackman Jimmy Bitter came into Tuesday night’s home game against No. 16 Harvard with at least a point in 49 straight games – just one game shy of tying the UNC record of 50. It didn’t take long for Bitter to assure his place in the record books and propel the Tar Heels to a 15-10 win
