Men's lacrosse defeats Furman 19-3 in opener

Before the No. 3 North Carolina men’s lacrosse team headed down to South Carolina to take on Furman in its season opener, coach Joe Breschi said it would take a group effort to replace the numbers and leadership Marcus Holman produced in 2013.

UNC men's lacrosse team out for revenge against Denver in playoffs

In the first round of the NCAA playoffs last year, the Denver Pioneers handed the North Carolina men’s lacrosse team a heartbreaking loss in front of a home crowd at Fetzer Field. This Sunday, when the Tar Heels take on Denver in a quarterfinal match-up in Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium, UNC is looking for revenge.

Tar Heels take down Mountain Hawks

When the No. 1 North Carolina men’s lacrosse team was given the fifth seed in the NCAA playoffs, the team let it feed into their underdog mentality. But with a 16-7 win against Lehigh in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Tar Heels proved that they are a credible threat and should not to be taken lightly.

Tar Heel defense key in ACC Championship victory

The No. 3 North Carolina men’s lacrosse team fired on all cylinders offensively, averaging 17 goals in its two ACC Tournament games this weekend, but facing an equally potent Virginia offense Sunday, UNC needed its defense to secure its first ACC Championship since 1996.
