President Donald Trump spoke in the Greensboro Coliseum in June of 2016. Trump banned almost all travel from Iran, Libyra, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Chad and North Korea on Sunday.

Executive Director of Cure HTT, Marianne S. Clancy, presents Congressman David Price an award on behalf of Cure HTT for his work in passing legislation on behalf of those affected by the genetic disease. Price, along with Gov. Roy Cooper, opposed the the proposed Republican health care bill.

Tobacco companies don’t necessarily have the same influence they did decades ago in the North Carolina, but they still have an important voice in legislation and contribute hundreds of thousands of dollars to political campaigns, aiding politicians into office and continuing their cycle of influence in public health policy.
