Softball swept in weekend series

In three games at Anderson Stadium, the North Carolina softball team showed off its firepower with 17 runs on 25 hits in one of the team’s most complete offensive showings of the season. But it was not quite enough for the Tar Heels (15-17, 3-6 ACC), as No. 11 Florida State (26-3, 6-0 ACC) scored 36 runs on 37 hits to sweep the Tar Heels, taking Game 1 on Friday 15-6 and the doubleheader on Saturday 9-6 and 12-5. “We lost all three games, and that stinks,” Coach Donna Papa said.
