North Carolina men's tennis falls in ACC Tournament

The No. 12 North Carolina men’s tennis team lost, 4-3, to No. 3 Virginia on Saturday, in the semifinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament, after defeating No. 32 Florida State, 4-1, in the quarterfinals the day before, at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia. The Cavaliers (27-1) have been a thorn in the side of the Tar Heels (24-4) this season, with Virginia winning all three matchups, the last two by 4-3 scores.


No. 4 UNC women's tennis sweeps No. 8 Michigan 4-0

The No. 4 North Carolina women’s tennis team swept No. 8 Michigan 4-0 on Thursday afternoon, in the team’s final non-conference match of the regular season, at the Cone-Kenfield tennis center. The Tar Heels (21-2, 7-1 ACC) avenged their 5-2 loss to the Wolverines (13-4, 5-0) last season in Ann Arbor.


UNC men's tennis dominates Vanderbilt, 6-1, on road

The No. 4 North Carolina men’s tennis team defeated No. 27 Vanderbilt, 6-1, at the Currey Tennis Center in Nashville, Tenn. This is the Tar Heels' (12-1) second victory over the Commodores (8-4) in a month; UNC's first victory was a 4-1 win during the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.
