Carolina Hockey goes 3-1 over Duke at PNC Arena

RALEIGH -- The UNC club ice hockey team won the second inaugural Frozen Cup in its 3-1 victory Wednesday night over Duke University at PNC Arena. The team has had a rough start to the season, but head coach Jeff Volkman feels his club is heading in the right direction.

When students at UNC started the Quidditch team in 2010, a lot of people saw it as a Harry Potter fan club. That idea still persists today, but members of the team will tell you it’s a bunch of rubbish.


Men's club soccer set sights on strong start

UNC’s men’s club soccer team will travel to Clemson University this weekend for their first tournament of the season. While the tournament doesn’t necessarily have any direct effect on the team’s post-season chances, it gives the squad a chance to compete against other top-tier opponents.
