Finance committee's first spring ends in unanimous decision on handling of funds

In its first meeting of the semester on Tuesday, the finance committee for Student Congress heard from a representative from the Board of Elections, a representative from Student Congress and the International Association of Students in Economic and Commercial Sciences, commonly known by the French acronym AIESEC.

Alexandria Johnston of Virginia Beach, VA is the first recipient of the Dean Smith Academic Scholarship. She is pursuing a masters in school counseling from the UNC School of Education.

Dorms start Halloween guest policy

Because of the number of visitors to campus on Halloween weekend, UNC residence halls are seeking to increase safety precautions by requiring students to register their guests.
