Orange County residents and UNC students started their Saturday with a cold wake-up call.

The Lux shuttles are scheduled to pick up residents every fifteen minutes. The apartment complex provides shuttle stops around campus Monday through Friday and a late night shuttle system along Franklin Street and Rosemary Street Thursday through Saturday.

LUX at Central Park is a luxury student apartment complex on a 9.13-acre site along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The complex, originally named Bicycle Apartments, broke ground in June 2013. The complex announced in June 2014 that it would not be done on time for students to move in before school started in the fall semester, and residents were moved into hotels.

On Sept. 5, 160 residents were moved into their units at LUX. But more than 200 other LUX residents were moved into empty spaces in on-campus housing, where they would stay until their unit was completed.

The third section of LUX's building was finally completed Spring 2015.
