Sunday, Jan. 28

University police responded at 5 p.m. to a larceny at the Kenan Field House.

A student went jogging that afternoon and left his keys on the ground unattended. When he returned, his keys were missing.

University police responded to a report of a larceny of two wallets at 2:37 p.m.

A student at Ehringhaus Residence Hall reported that during the Dec. 15 campus blackout, someone broke into her room and took her wallet.

The person also stole her roommate's wallet.

The student said her credit card had been used Jan. 17, with charges of more than $300.

A breaking and entering was reported to University police at 4:33 a.m.

Police responded to an intrusion alarm at a Wilson Court home.

Upon arrival, police checked the outside of the building and discovered entry was made through the basement.

The case is still under investigation.

A larceny from a motor vehicle at the second level of the Dogwood Parking Deck was reported at 12:05 a.m.

The car's owner told University police he parked his car at 9:12 p.m. on Jan. 27.

When he returned at 11:55 p.m., he noticed the driver's side window had been broken and his stereo and speakers were gone.

Sunday, Jan. 28

Chapel Hill police are investigating a robbery that occurred at 5 p.m. at True Value Hardware at 1129 Weaver Dairy Road.

Reports state that a suspect entered the store and took an unspecified amount of money from an office safe.

Police have no suspects and the case is under further investigation.
