Wednesday, Oct. 10

-Police arrested Lee Huggins, 22, and Steven Breedlove, 21, at 12:52 a.m. for damaging the fountain at Bynum Circle.

Reports state that University police responded to a suspicious condition call at Bynum Circle. A Department of Public Safety security guard spotted two individuals pouring a red substance in the fountain, reports state. The security guard said the individuals were heading toward the main quad, reports state. The suspects were located, questioned and then released, reports state.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

-A UNC student reported at 5:27 p.m. that her bike was stolen.

Reports state that a grey and red mountain bike was stolen from the Teague and Parker residence halls' bike rack between Oct. 5 and Oct. 9. The bike had been secured to the rack with a heavy-duty cable lock, reports state. There was no evidence that the lock had been cut, reports state.
